Track Profile
The Pinjar Off-Road Vehicle Area is a 314-hectare area perfect for dirt biking and motocross riding. The area comprises of six natural-terrain tracks amongst cleared scrub and pine plantations. The tracks are managed by the Department of Parks and Wildlife and are open to motorcycles and quad bikes of any engine capacity. No off-road registration, Motorcycling Australia license or driver’s licence is required; however, helmets are mandatory. The tracks vary between sand and limestone or clay and are graded. The trails are regularly maintained, but they contain a lot of exposed roots and lots of whoops. The area to the west of Orchid Road is designated for intermediate to advanced riders, and the area to the east is the ‘Family Zone’ for beginners and younger riders. Visitors ride at their own risk.
There is a 1.3km clay pee wee trail, a 6km clay family loop, a 4km sand north loop, a 1.5km clay motocross short n curly trail, a 4.3km sandy south loop, and an 800m clay pilot trail for juniors.
There are two car parks, one with good viewing of the pee wee trail and access to family trail, the other provides access to the north loop and short n curly trails.
