What is the weekend about:
The Fox Camp Outs are a coaching event, where you will learn what and how when it comes to riding offroad.
I (Jemma Wilson) am a 5-Time World Enduro Champion and a 4 time Australian Offroad Champion and work with other leading riders and coaches. I know what it takes to be competitive, but just as importantly, what it means to step outside your comfort zone, in a fun non-intimidating environment.
Coaching is such an easy way to get so much knowledge and confidence on a bike, in just one weekend! The weekend covers; basic riding techniques (standing position, braking and cornering); offroad obstacles (jumps, logs and hills); and the best ways to load/unload your bike and some maintenance tips.
And the best part is, each person can work at their own level, which no pressure, in a really inspiring ladies only environment.

WHERE IS THE EVENT HELD?
QMP (Queensland Moto Park)
3010 Beaudesert-Boonah Rd, Coulson, Qld 4310
1 hour from Brisbane / 1 hour 15 minutes from Gold Coast
DO I HAVE TO COMMIT TO ALL THOSE DAYS TO BE PART OF THE EVENT?
No. As part of your entry, you select the races you want to be part of. For example, if you want to only come and race on Saturday, that’s fine. Just take a good look at the race schedule page for the information and descriptions for each race and when they are being held.
WHAT LEVEL OF RIDER DO I NEED TO BE TO ENTER THE EVENT?
This event caters for all types of riding level, from beginner to pro. There are races and classes to suit, so everyone is comfortable on the track. Check out more FAQs in the Riding & Race Details section below.
WHAT FACILITIES EXIST AT QMP?
QMP is a dirt bike riders’ paradise. Along with great tracks and trails, the event will have onsite food, bars, toilets, showers, café and car parking.
Plan your weekend riding before you get into the entry process. To see the full list of race descriptions, schedule and track locations, please click this link.
WHEN CAN I ENTER?
Entries to the event will be open on June 4th 2019 until all races are at sold out capacity. Many of the team races filled up very fast last year, so don’t leave it until the last minute, this event will 100% sell out quickly. Each rider must complete their own separate entry form (Including kids).
WHAT SORT OF RIDING CAN I EXPECT?
Probably the most fun you can have on two wheels. The main track (where the majority of the races are run) will be three motocross tracks joined together to create a 5 minute track. In addition to the main track events, there are friday night dirt drags (run what you brung) and a Saturday night mini speedway roll up race. The Dust Hustle TT Track operates each day and is designed for the unusual, risky and vintage bikes with a shed load of different races you can have a swing at.
WHAT RIDING SKILL LEVEL WILL I NEED TO RIDE THE EVENT?
Day in the Dirt Down Under is all about making sure everyone can enjoy the party, so don’t fret; you’ll fit in! The main track will take the fast guys around five mins to complete a lap, and there are no super-technical features. That means even a novice rider will be able to comfortably negotiate the main track.
There are races specific to rider level so you are out on the track with people of a similar speed. That way, everyone has the most fun possible! Races for Novice, Juniors, Vets, Women and Experts all exist, so you simply enter the ones best suited to your level of riding.
ARE THERE TRACKS AND RACES FOR KIDS?
New in 2019, there will be 50cc mini track open at select times on Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Kids aged 4-8 only, no need to pre-enter, just sign up at the event) and select races on the TT Track that are for Minis aged 4-8 and Juniors aged 9 – 15. If you’re aged 13-15, there are also Junior Lites races on the main MX track just for you, check the schedule for the break down. View the full schedule here Race Schedule
CAN I PUT MY KIDS ENTRIES ON MINE?
No, every individual rider must complete their own race entry form, this is a requirement for MQ licensing and helps us identify each rider clearly. Complete your own first and then do a separate entry for your respective kids and the races they want to ride over the weekend.
I HEARD THERE ARE TEAM EVENTS. IS THAT TRUE?
Yup, the most fun, hectic and exciting races at Day in the Dirt. All your team might be out on the track at once, or you might be changing over in the transition area during the laps. Grab a buddy or two and get into it! Check the Race Schedule page for further details. page for further details.
I’VE ENTERED AND I WANT MORE INFORMATION. HOW DO I GET IT?
All successful, paid-up entrants will receive a confirmation email shortly after payment. A Competitor Information Document will then be emailed approximately four weeks before the event.
This section of the FAQs and the information on the pages on the website should provide you all the answers you need. But of course, just email
contact@dayinthedirtdownunder.com.au if you have any specific questions that you can’t find here.
Even better, just follow our social media channels:
I’M A COMPETITOR BUT I DON’T WANT TO CAMP ON SITE. WHAT IS MY DEAL?
If you are racing and just wish to arrive and leave each day, that’s cool. We have an area for people to set up a pit just for the day.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO ENTER? DO I NEED A GUARDIAN AT THE EVENT?
Any rider who is 16 years of age or older (as of the day of the event) may ride. Riders under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian sign for them. If the rider’s parent cannot attend the event, they must still pre-sign a Guardianship Form to appoint a guardian. The guardian must then accompany the rider at rider registration. Younger riders will be able to partake in the KTM 50 Track (just roll up and test the new bikes, or ride your own), there is also a Beginner Mini Race on Sunday morning on the TT track for younger riders to have a rip around.
DOES MY BIKE NEED TO BE REGISTERED?
No.
DO I NEED A ROAD MOTORCYCLE LICENCE?
No.
DO I NEED AN MOTORCYCLING AUSTRALIA (MA) ANNUAL LICENCE OR A MOTORCYCLING QUEENSLAND ONE EVENT COMPETITION LICENCE?
Yes, you will be charged either $35 for a Recreational Licence if you are only entering races on the Dust Hustle TT Track (not timed, riding for fun) or $75 for a One Event Competition Licence if you are entering any races on the Main MX Track (timed and racing ya mates). You will need one or the other to make sure you are covered in the event of an accident to be part of MA insurance coverage. This is included in your annual MA Licence, but if you do not have a current MA Licence, you will need to purchase a One Event Competition Licence (OECL) during your online entry to ensure you’re covered. Without this insurance, you cannot ride. The OECL is an insurance document, issued to each specific rider by Motorcycling Queensland and costs $75. It is non-refundable and non-transferable. All one event competition licenses need to be completed on Rider Net after you have completed your entry process on the Day in the Dirt Down Under website.
SO, HOW DO I GET MY ONE EVENT LICENCE?
Once you have completed your race and camping entry on the Day in the Dirt website you need to do the following; (if you have a valid national race license you do not have to do this process)
1. Head over to Motocycling Australias RIDER NET
2. Log in or if this is your first time using Ridernet, you MUST create a new PROFILE first.
3. Once logged in under the Events / Available Events, scroll down to the Day in the Dirt Down Under event listing in August.
4. Click get Licence
5. Choose which one event licence type you need;
a) $75 Competitive (If you’re racing on the main MX track, also covers you for Dust Hustle races)
b) $35 Non-Competitive (If you are ONLY racing Dust Hustle on the TT track)
6. Complete Payment
7. Print out copy of receipt and bring it with you to the event.
DO I NEED AMBULANCE COVER?
Yes, absolutely. It is the rider’s responsibility to have current ambulance cover for the event. The event will have medical teams on site each day of racing to attend to injuries.
CAN RIDERS SHARE BIKES?
Yes, this is fine. Even in the team events, where riders change in the transition area, you can simply swap riders on the same bike at that point.
IS THERE TIMING FOR THE RACES?
Yes, each bike on track will need to be fitted with a transponder. This helps us know who to hand the trophies out to, and it lets you check your lap (and race) times against your mates. There will be hire fee of $15 per rider for each transponder and bracket, and you’ll need to collect and return them from the Rider HQ at the beginning and end of your race program. The Timing Services team will retain your driver’s licence as a ‘bond’ to ensure this happens. Race results will then be posted on the timing board near Rider HQ. Oh, and please don’t leave the event without returning your transponder and bracket. You may be liable for the replacement cost of $700, so losing them ain’t advisable either. Note: Transponders and transponder fee’s aren’t required for the TT Track.
CAN I RIDE MORE THAN ONE BIKE?
Sure, so long as any bike taken onto the main track has been scrutineered by our race management team.
WILL THERE BE FUEL AND PARTS AVAILABLE ON SITE?
No. However, there are options for both in Boonah, just 10 mins away.
CAN I WIN ANYTHING?
Pride! Memories, Oh, and certain races have some Day In The Dirt trophies if you get the win.
IS THERE ANY PRIZE MONEY?
Nope it’s all about ripping dirt, having a few cold ones and hanging out with your mates. No prize money.
IS MOTORCYCLING AUSTRALIA INVOLVED IN THE EVENT?
Yes, the event is sanctioned by Motorcycling Australia’s state controlling body, Motorcycling Queensland.
Jemma Wilson is back this year and ready to rip!

Transmoto Enduros are team-based dirt bike events that sit somewhere between a recreational trail bike rally and a full-blown enduro race. Transmoto has always focused on running events with a relaxed atmosphere and an emphasis on fun. We custom-build epic 16-20km tracks, each staged on seven private properties that reach from the Sunshine Coast to Central Victoria. In 2020, more than 4000 riders will attend a Transmoto Enduro, making it the largest off-road series in the country. Get involved!
